Redeveloped GlosFamilies Directory & Local Offer is now live!
The refreshed platform is now accessible, and we’d really appreciate any feedback on how the refreshed platform works for you.
There have been some big changes across the whole directory. From visiting the GlosFamilies Directory, you might notice that the Local Offer on the home page is now split between two Sections – Support For Families with SEND, Gloucestershire’s Local Offer and Future Me, Young People’s Local Offer. Parent Workshops & Practitioner Training now has its own section.
Once you click on one of these sections, you’ll find landing pages that look different. Icons have been changed and the pages are designed to be more accessible, straight forward and visually appealing. Many pages now have content tiles once you click on them, breaking down information where that’s needed.
Moving forward, you’ll notice different pages across the directory will have a parent approved icon, where information has been approved by Gloucestershire Parent Carer Forum and other parent support groups. You’ll also find more video and media content added – some of this has already been added but there’s more to come.
If you click on the search bar on the front page, you’ll see some changes – from the search bar phrase, which is now what are you searching for today? through to more search filters once you get your results, making it easier to find what you need. There’s a different layout with search results and information linked to your search, making information more easily accessible and straight forward.
Each service page now has Local Offer information more visible; a purple local offer tag indicates that service has Local Offer information around the support available for children & young people with special educational needs and disabilities, with details on this clearly highlighted in purple on the bottom of each service page.
Advice & Guidance Pages can now be much more flexible, and whilst many of these pages might still have the detail that’s needed, we’re conscious as we continue to develop the platform to have more accessible, video and multimedia information alongside this.
As ever, we’re keen to get your feedback around the directory as we launch – please get in contact via servicedirectory@gloucestershire.gov.uk for any feedback across the whole directory or localoffer@gloucestershire.gov.uk to get in touch around the Local Offer Pages, Support for Families with SEND or Future Me.
