Over the coming weeks, there are several awareness events relevant to families with SEND: 

  • Carers Week - 9-15 June 
  • Tourettes Awareness Day 7/6/25
  • Big Health Day: Friday,13 June 2025
  • Learning Disability Week - 16-22 June 
  • SEND Community Cafes in the Forest of Dean, 24 & 25 June
  • Deafblind Awareness Week  - 22-28 June

We are also participating in:

 1. Gloucestershire Carers Hub Event: Monday, 9th June 2025 

Time: 10.00am – 4.00pm ( There will be a quiet hour from 10.00am-11.00am).

Place: Dowty's Sports & Social Club, Down Hatherley Ln, Gloucester GL2 9QH 

Join Gloucestershire Carers Hub and other organisations to find information, guidance and support during our celebration of care.

 2. Big Health Day: Friday,13th June 2025

Time: 9.30am to 2.30pm

Place: Oxstalls Sports Park, Plock Court, Tewkesbury Road, Gloucester, GL2 9DW

Big Health Day is an annual event for people with a physical or learning disability, sensory loss or mental health support needs. It aims to be a fun and inclusive event which encourages people to participate in sport, physical exercise and social activities and to engage with services and organisations which can provide support.Big Health Day logo with rainbow and text stating - an inclusive guide to promote health and wellbeing

3. SEND Community Cafes in the Forest of Dean 

Support , advice and information in the Forest of Dean for parent carers of children and young people with SEND.

Join SENDIASS, Gloucestershire Parent Carer Forum, Carers Hub, GCC services and other charities/organisations who can offer support to you and your family over a cuppa and a cake.
