GYC Twilight Annual Young Carers Conference

Gloucestershire Young Carers share information about their Twilight Annual Young Carers Conference and how you can get involved.

We are excited to announce the theme of this years twilight conference is “30 years leading the way with and for young carers – how together we can shape the future”.
This co-produced conference with young and young adult carers, will take a look at the progress made for young carers in Gloucestershire over the past 30 years, the challenges still to be overcome, and how we can continue to work together to identify hidden young carers and provide the support they need to reach their potential.
Through co-produced workshops and short presentations, young and young adult carers will bring their lived experience across a range of topics effecting young people, including mental health and education, to highlight the areas that impact them most and how these can be developed.
In addition to these, there will also be presentations from leading young carers professionals and policy makers nationally, giving a national view on the current situation for young carers and how we can feed into this.
