Early Years (EY)

Level one

• Advice, guidance, information and training for all EY settings
• EY Advice line for all EY practitioners
• Targeted groups in Gloucester city that help parents support their child’s learning and development

Level two

• Whole setting support - exploring areas of concern and delivering quality and inclusive practice
• EY Advisers support with strategies based on observations
• Lead Practitioner role for a child - where involved, Early Years can initiate the Graduated Pathway

Level three

• Following My Assessment completion unmet needs are considered at a multi-agency group - resources allocated according to need
• For children not attending an EY setting EY adviser can undertake home visits to progress Graduated Pathway

Level four

As with level three support the EY service have commissioned services from Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy to support children’s development in EY settings.
