Section 2 - Highlights of 2022

Gloucestershire has had another successful year of delivery of the HAF programme 50,612 sessions were booked with 15,566 unique children and young people attending sessions across the county.
The overall average percentage of children and young people attending the provision who were in receipt of benefits related school meals was 39%. Whilst this was a slight decrease of 4% on the previous year, the provision has seen an increase over the year in the number of primary, secondary, BAME and disabled children attending.
By the end of year, 62% of families with children and young people eligible for Free School Meals had an account on the bookings system and feedback from parents and carers, children and young people continues to be positive.
- 7% of parents and carers responding to the Winter HAF survey rated the provision good or very good. (13% increase from the summer)
- 85% rated the food good or very good (12% increase from the summer)
During the year, on average 22% respondents were parent and carers with children and young people with a disability and/or special educational need.
Of these respondents there have been increases in satisfaction levels with the information provided and the sufficiency of places, with the following results in the Winter survey.
- 72% agreed that there was sufficient accessibility information for individuals with SEND on our websites and the CABS (Children’s Activity Booking System) pages
- 60% agreed that there were sufficient activities for children with SEND
- 83% said that they did not face any barriers when it came to booking HAF provision for their child

- Basket ball Camps
- Family Trips
- Multi sports camps
