Please provide any social media links, testimonials or feedback that you have received concerning your 2022 HAF Programme

We have included here some very positive feedback received from parents during 2023-2024.

"A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the HAF scheme. The children particularly enjoyed the sessions at Bloodhound Education. My son finds it hard to engage at school, but I have never seen him so enthusiastic about learning something new before it was wonderful to see. He also loved the Birds of Prey Day in North Nibley and talked about it for days afterwards. Thank you!”

"The food was tasty, fresh, and healthy. Having options really helped with my daughters' sensory needs"

"The Goals Beyond Grass team are amazing and so welcoming and supportive to our son who loves his holiday sessions. He is very anxious and has a progressive muscle wasting condition but was able to take part in the inclusive activities available. Huge thank you"

"They were fed very well, all healthy food and was even asked at the end of every session if the children had any suggestions on what they would like but it has to be healthy, my grandchildren loved the food"

"My grandchildren attended all of the days on offer at Oakley, they were absolutely brilliant, professional, fun, every time, my grandchildren loved it, and they know all the people that run it and they feel really safe"

"We attended the scrap art, bird of prey and Saul boat trip. All were incredible! My nephew is autistic and attends the shrubberies school and my daughter is awaiting a diagnosis for ADHD and sensory processing disorder. All 3 providers were aware and engaged both children. The actives kept them both interested from start to finish. The bird of prey experience was a shock to my sister and i as it is the ONLY time we have seen my nephew sit still focused and listening for more than 10 minutes. He did this for 2 hours! The incentive of holding the bird he was learning about held him captivated. We honestly thought we would be leaving within an hour but stayed for the whole session! At one point one of the ladies could see he was starting to get overwhelmed and had noticed him talking to a roaming hen earlier in the day. So, she quietly led him off to see the rescues in the hen house. Meltdown averted and by someone other than immediate family or his teacher has NEVER happened before!! All 3 providers supplied a nutritious, delicious, and plentiful meal. We found that other options we would have normally chosen (cinemas, swimming) were booked so opted for something different and were so glad we did. We had no idea these places existed but will be visiting them again"

"During lockdown I was busy supporting my 16-year-old through GSCEs, so my younger children did not have as much attention. My youngest is in school now and they have said her development is behind in social skills, language, and writing. HAF is really helping her, she is meeting new people and every evening we write up what we have been doing"

"It is great to have access to this high-quality equipment. I might want a career in music technology and being able to use this place is great”

"It is great here; we get to do whatever we want. It is the best"
