🌟Training opportunities🌟

We are also pleased to be offering two popular training opportunities during October: WHISPERS training and Wills and Trusts training. These sessions provide valuable information and practical guidance for Parent Carers. Further details, including booking information, can be found on our Facebook page.

🌟Have your say🌟

We have also launched a new section on our website called Have Your Say, where you can share your views on consultations that are currently live. Your feedback helps ensure that the experiences and perspectives of Parent Carers continue to inform and influence local and national decision-making.

Alongside providing support and information, we continue to ensure that the voices of Gloucestershire's Parent Carers are heard by:

  • Representing Parent Carers at the One Plan meeting, contributing to discussions about priorities for VCSE organisations for the year ahead.
  • Participating in the Local Offer Children's Communication Group and the Communications and Co-production Steering Group to support quality assurance and content review of the Local Offer website.
  • Contributing to the Local Offer Thematic Review through discussions with HM Inspectors.
  • Continuing to advocate for families through attendance and observation of EHCP Panels.
  • Representing Parent Carer perspectives at the Carers Partnership Board and SEND Survey Working Group.
  • Maintaining regular engagement with the CAAAS pathway lead, raising issues and feedback shared by Parent Carers.
  • Beginning to plan with our committee and staff team to review priorities for the year ahead, including responses to SEND Reform and the key issues affecting families.
  • Meeting with the NNPCF and DfE to discuss the EOTAS consultation.
  • Joining colleagues from across the South West region to learn more about Inclusion Bases.

Thank you for continuing to share your experiences, feedback, and ideas with us. Your voices help shape the work we do and ensure that services across Gloucestershire better understand and respond to the needs of Parent Carers and their families. We look forward to seeing many of you at our events and training sessions over the coming months.
