Newly defined roles

The SEND LGA Peer review told us:

Consideration needs to be given to appoint to newly defined roles such as Designated Social Care Officer, Communication Officer, and Transformation Lead.

These are key roles which would greatly enhance SEND delivery.

What we have done already:

We are recruiting roles to support the SILAP Improvement Plan with communication and transformation, and we have scoped a Designated Social Care Officer role.

What’s next

We will identify and introduce a DSCO with appropriate funding.

GCC and ICB programme management capacity to be secured, to recruit to posts which will fulfil communication and transformation roles.
