SEND Improvement Plan
The SEND LGA Peer review told us:
Ensure the SEND Improvement Plan is comprehensive, deliverable, and tracked with real rigour. Milestones and impact measures to be included.
The pace and consistency of delivery of the Improvement Plan needs to be enhanced and owned equally across the whole partnership. This should include addressing workforce shortfalls and recruitment and retention across the whole system.
What we have done already:
We have enhanced partnership working by ensuring the SEND and Inclusion Local Area Partnership board is co-chaired by GCC and NHS Gloucestershire ICB.
The improvement plan has been redesigned to ensure it is coherent, clear, and displays the partnership’s shared strategic priorities.
We are developing multi agency Key Performance Indicators to inform on the progress and delivery of the plan.
What’s next
Once KPIs are finalised we will implement and build upon the improvement plan, identifying activities to continuously improve.
The partnership will work together on a workforce development programme, to identify and address any shortfalls.
