2 - Special responsibility allowances

The Special Responsibility Allowances were approved by full Council on the 20 March 2024.

The distribution of responsibilities and allowances for 2024/25 are as follows:

(a)          Leader of the County Council:

Allowance: £38,403.68

(b)          Group Leader (provided five or more group members):

Allowance: £7,318.50 each 

(c)          Group Leader of a group consisting of less than five members:

Allowance: £1,463.19 per member of the Group, providing a minimum of two members.

(d)          Cabinet Member:

Allowance: £21,482.72 each 

(e)          Chair of Scrutiny Committee:

Allowance: £7,318.50

(f)           Chair of Planning Committee:

Allowance: £7,318.50

(g)          Chair of Audit and Governance Committee:

Allowance: £7,318.50 

(h)          Chair of Pensions Committee:

Allowance: £7,318.50

(j)           Chair of the Council:

Allowance: £11,018.75

(k)          Vice-Chair of the Council:

Allowance: £3,290.25 

(l)           Member of Fostering Panel:

Allowance: £6,590.75
