Gloucestershire takes flight to Farnborough International Airshow

Gloucestershire County Council will be flying the flag for the county at Farnborough International Airshow from 20–24 July, showcasing Gloucestershire's strengths in aerospace, advanced engineering and manufacturing alongside partners from across the South West.

You'll find us on the ADS Pavilion, Hall 1, UK Village, Stand 1120D, where we'll be promoting Gloucestershire as a prime location for business growth and investment.

As part of the UK's largest aerospace cluster, Gloucestershire has a compelling story to tell. From our established aerospace supply chain and highly skilled workforce to exciting opportunities linked to our two airports, emerging Advanced Engineering & Manufacturing (AEM) study, and strategic growth locations such as Tewkesbury Garden Communities Business District, we're using Farnborough to put Gloucestershire firmly on the map.

A particular focus this year will be promoting the opportunities associated with Gloucestershire's airports and the wider aerospace ecosystem, highlighting the commercial space, connectivity and talent available here in the county.

Cllr Julian Tooke, cabinet member for business, economic development, infrastructure and planning for Gloucestershire County Council, said: "Farnborough International Airshow gives us a fantastic opportunity to showcase Gloucestershire on a global stage.

"We have a thriving aerospace and advanced engineering sector, a highly skilled workforce, strong transport connections and significant opportunities for growth linked to our airports and strategic development sites. 

"By working alongside partners from across the South West, we can highlight why Gloucestershire is such an attractive place to invest, innovate and do business. We look forward to meeting companies from across the sector and sharing our ambitions for the county's future."
