Gloucestershire County Council operates a Shared Lives scheme known as Gloucestershire Shared Lives. The service is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and is an alternative to traditional social care or health services..
It is a service where people aged over 18 with assessed eligible health or social care needs can be supported for a few hours, a few days or live on a long-term basis with a Shared Lives carer in the carer’s home as part of their family.
