Families First Partnership Programme
Life isn’t always straightforward. Many children and families face challenges at different points in their lives - whether that’s the impact of domestic abuse, difficulties with mental health, substance use, or wider pressures in their community. When things get tough, getting help should feel easy, safe and supportive.
Nationally, the government has asked local authorities, including Gloucestershire, to transform children’s services so that families feel more supported, safe and listened to. Here in Gloucestershire, we are responding to this by introducing a new way of working: the Families First Partnership (FFP) Programme.
The Families First Partnership Programme is designed to transform the whole system of help, support and protection, so that every child and family can get the right support at the right time. This means a stronger focus on getting help earlier, preventing issues from growing to crisis point, and making the experience of accessing support clearer, smoother and more connected.
