Why do we need the Families First Partnership Programme (FFPP)?

Families sometimes face challenges that can make life difficult. When this happens, it’s important that families get the right help, at the right time before smaller worries become bigger problems.

The Families First Partnership Programme (FFPP) has been created to make this easier for children, young people and their families to access the right joined-up services early, making sure families are more involved in shaping their own plans to keep children safe.

Many families have told us they get tired of repeating their story to different workers, and that support can feel confusing. These changes are about working better together with schools, social care, health, police and community groups to help children grow up happy and healthy.
