Understanding our roles in addressing health inequalities
You may be wondering how this applies to you and your role.
Concerted, systematic and sustained action is needed to address the multiple and overlapping factors that drive health inequalities. This includes, but goes well beyond, the health and care system across all the other ‘determinants of health’.
A comprehensive approach to addressing health inequalities requires working in partnership across services, sectors and communities, at local, regional and national level. But everyone can play a part.
Whether you work within the Integrated Care System, or the Voluntary and Community Sector, or a private organisation, consider the areas you work in and can therefore influence.
Health inequalities is everyone’s business!
