Lyn Merrett: Shared Lives officer

I have worked for GCC in Adult Social Care for over 13 years, and have extensive experience in assessing/supporting vulnerable adults and carers. I joined Shared Lives to undertake a new challenge and direction to my previous roles in Social Care. In the time I have been with the team, I have met some fantastic people, who provide such a wonderful person centred service, to our service users. The passion and outcomes that Shared Lives Carers provide are truly remarkable! My champion role within the team is to grow and promote the service throughout health, social care and local communities around Gloucestershire, with an emphasis on recruiting new carers . This is such an exciting time to join Shared Lives and I look forward to supporting it to become one of the county’s main care providers.
