Gypsy and traveller services

Stow Horse Fair 2020 will not take place this year, in line with Government advice about avoiding large gatherings during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The message from Louise Broughton Principal Lead Traveller Services GCC, Chief Inspector Bourne Gloucestershire Constabulary who form part of a strategic Co-ordinating group for public gatherings is that:

"We understand it is a difficult time for everybody and our routines are having to adapt but peoples health must come first which is why the fair along with many other events across the country, will not take place this year
We all need to play our part in stopping the spread of Covid-19 and #stayhome #savelives #protectthenhs
We understand the disappointment this will bring to the Gypsy and Traveller communities however we are grateful of their response so far by not travelling to the area and keeping their families safety and that of the local settled community at heart."
