Pledge to help biodiversity and enter our competition

Enter our prize draw by telling us how you will help biodiversity!

We all want to do our best for biodiversity but it can be hard to know where to begin. We want to help you get; make a pledge for biodiversity by doing one of the following:

Some examples of things you could try are:
  • Tackle climate change; take the bus or train instead of a car, eat more low carbon meals, walk, cycle or scoot instead of driving, buy second hand instead of new, save energy at home.
  • Act for wildlife; Leave your grass long - don't mow your lawn, cut a hedgehog hole in your fence, start composting, go peat free by only buying plants that aren't grown in peat compost.
  • Experience nature; visit a local nature reserve, come to an event, go for a walk.

Tell your friends about your pledge to help nature and enter our competition.

The winner will receive a family ticket to visit Slimbridge wetland centre, which was kindly donated by the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust.

We want everyone to help biodiversity and create a Greener Gloucestershire. The prize draw is an incentive to get people to take action at home to help biodiversity - nearly 30% of urban areas are made up of gardens and could be made into wildlife havens!
