Tree and Hedgerow Packs

Gloucestershire Resident Hedge pack and Tree offer

Residents in Gloucestershire can apply for a hedgerow pack or a tree for their garden.

Around 87% of UK households have a garden. It’s estimated that gardens in Britain cover an area more than twice as large as all our national nature reserves.

The trees and plants in our gardens can make a big difference for nature.

Hedgerows make a fantastic ecological alternative to fencing, creating a living boundary, shelter for livestock, windbreaks. Hedges provide corridor for wildlife, also provide food such as berries and flowers to provide pollen and nectar for insects. They also clean our air, capture carbon and reduce flooding.

Incorporating trees into your garden, provides refuge for an array of wildlife, whilst boosting your well-being and plays an important role in air purification.
