Minerals and waste development scheme (MWDS)
A Minerals and Waste Development Scheme (MWDS) sets out a three-year work programme for preparing local minerals and waste planning documents.
The most recent MWDS for Gloucestershire covers the period from April 2024 to the end of March 2027. It considers the preparation of a new waste local plan to replace the adopted Gloucestershire Waste Core Strategy and remaining, yet-to-be replaced ‘saved’ policies of the adopted Gloucestershire Waste Local Plan. It also looks towards the review of the adopted Minerals Local Plan due to commence in 2025.
