Our values
Our values are at the heart of everything we do and how we treat each other. They were developed by staff through our employee engagement survey and our employee voice groups, as well as feedback from the senior leadership team and members.
These values set out the way we work, define our culture and identify what we, as a whole, care about.
Accountability - This principle guides us in keeping promises, taking ownership of outcomes, and being transparent in our actions.
Integrity - Honesty and fairness are at the core of Council operations, maintaining trust among colleagues and communities alike.
Empowerment - We strive to enable communities and colleagues to achieve their best, supporting innovation and encouraging initiative.
Respect - Valuing diverse perspectives, we promote a culture where everyone feels heard and valued.
Excellence - Continuous improvement is a priority, with a focus on delivering high-quality services by learning, listening, and adapting.
These values set out the way in which we carry out our work and define our culture, so it is important you take time to consider each of the values and what they mean to you.
