Our Libraries and Registrations Service is the backbone of community engagement, providing access to information, literature, and vital records to the residents of Gloucestershire.

We are one of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisations, and are grant funded to provide their outcomes. With libraries spread across the county, we can offer a diverse range of resources, programs, and events to promote literacy, learning, and community involvement.
As Head of Libraries and Registrations, you will play a key role in driving strategic direction and operational efficiency.
You will provide clear vision and direction, championing customer-centric approaches and exploring innovative service delivery models.
Additionally, you will manage resources effectively, forge strong partnerships with colleagues, communities, and stakeholders, and uphold high performance standards.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of effectively managing complex projects and teams.
You will ideally have experience in the political nature of working in local government, a track record of successful change management, and a passion for libraries, community engagement, and public service.
