Patching Works

Structural Maintenance Patching Programme

We will be patching sections of carriageway throughout the county. For further updates, please check local road signs and social media: follow GlosRoads on X, follow Gloucestershire Roads on Facebook

Access

To ensure the safety of you and our work force we will need to close the road.

We appreciate road closures are inconvenient, but in order to keep you and the team working on the road safe it is necessary. We have planned the work so we can be in and out as quickly as possible and at a time that will minimise any inconvenience.

Pedestrian access to properties, access to emergency vehicles, and statutory undertakers responding to an emergency situation will be maintained during the road closure.

If you live or run a business on a road due to be closed for work, you will receive a letter with approximately 2 weeks notice, although this can vary depending on the nature of the project.

Diversions

Diversion routes will be signposted and suitable for every type of vehicle that would normally use the closed road.

This means A road diversions will normally take you via other A roads rather than onto B or C class roads. We appreciate you may know an alternative route, however please be aware alternative routes which are outside of the road closure area are used at driver's discretion.

If you’re driving an HGV, please follow the diversion signs – don’t rely on your SatNav, because it might take you through roads that aren’t suitable.
