Construction information and road closures
Current works
Phase 2 of the Standish Multi-User Path (MUP) is due to commence on 7 September 2026 and be completed by the end of November 2026. The works have been planned to minimise disruption wherever possible.
Construction will be carried out by Griffiths Civil Engineering and will primarily take place under two-way temporary traffic signals operating during off-peak hours. A temporary 30mph speed limit will also be in place through the works area to help ensure the safety of road users and the workforce.
Short-term overnight road closures may be required for activities such as road markings and the installation of road signs where these works cannot be safely undertaken during the day. Any road closures or changes to traffic management arrangements will be communicated in advance.
