Product safety

We are responsible for enforcing laws relating to the safety of consumer products.

If you suspect a consumer product is unsafe, report it to us by calling 0808 223 1133.  Provide as much information about the product, place of purchase and manufacturer and reason for your concerns.  This will then be passed to the relevant Trading Standards Service, which may not be your local authority.

Product recalls

Product recalls are made by traders about products that have problems which could affect the safety of the consumer. The product should not be used and should be returned to the trader.  This is not a complete list.
