Spatial Development Strategy (SDS)
Planning provides homes, creates jobs, improves services and supports a better quality of life in Gloucestershire.
Have Your Say: Take the SDS Survey
The planning system is changing. A new Spatial Development Strategy (SDS) will help us make the big decisions about how Gloucestershire should grow and change over the long-term. Local Plans will continue to play an important part in local decision-making.
Why does planning matter? Planning helps decide where development happens, what infrastructure is needed, and how we protect and improve the places we value. These choices affect the way we live in the future.
What do you think? We are getting ready for the new SDS process and we want to know what matters to you. This is not about choosing specific development sites, it's about understanding your priorities for Gloucestershire's future. What should we protect? What needs to improve? Where should we focus investment? What should future growth achieve?
Answer our survey, join one of our drop-in events, or come to a webinar to let us know what matters to you.
This will help shape a future SDS that supports sustainable growth over the next 25 years and beyond.
