Rehabilitation Officer Visual Impairment - ROVI (Grade 8)

The ROVI operates within a multi-disciplinary environment to improve choice and quality of life for adults who have a visual impairment and/or dual sensory loss, through the use of timely interventions to maximise long term independence and minimise ongoing support.

The ROVI provides vulnerable adults, families and carers with information and advice on other relevant or more appropriate sources of help, emotional, material or finance where this is available.

The ROVI also provides high quality specialist assessments and rehabilitation services for adults with visual loss and conducts timely reviews of people’s goal plans and puts in place any necessary revisions to ensure the plans remain relevant, proportionate and appropriate delivering the desired outcomes.
