Families First Teams
The Families First Team provides targeted family support.
Where we are based
We have seven teams based across the localities. Two are based in Shire Hall. The rest in Edinburgh House, Lewis Lane, Redwood House, Dean House and Tewkesbury Borough Council offices.
Who we are
Each team has several Family Support Workers, Senior Family Support workers and a team manager.
Skills you'll need
Resilience, tenacity, organisational skills, assessment skills, the ability to have difficult conversations, challenge yourself and others, reflection, a desire to learn as well as teach, ability to connect to other, build relationships, be present while people are going through something difficult, hold the hope.

Family Support is hard work but in Families First you can expect lots of support, encouragement and nurture, a good induction, regular supervision and access to a wealth of resources and experienced staff and managers.
