About the Social Work Academy
We have a fantastic Social Work Academy that all our Social Workers have access to. Our academy are committed to creating a learning culture to support the development of outstanding practitioners and leaders who affect positive change for children, young people and their families in Gloucestershire.
Their aspiration is to inspire, challenge and support those throughout Gloucestershire Children’s Services to reach their potential.
The learning offer is organised into programmes which include bespoke learning opportunities that respond to practice development needs within Gloucestershire, and to the requirements of specific roles.
In addition to this, there are opportunities within the Academy learning offer for you to undertake learning with external providers.
Our partnership with Research in Practice means that you have access to resources and events that support evidence-informed practice.
We have also now commenced the roll out of systemic practice training in partnership with the Centre for Systemic Social Work, which will bring new opportunities that will support us to transform our practice in Gloucestershire.
