Notice of vacancy is hereby given in accordance with Section 87 (2) of the Local Government Act, 1972, due to the resignation of County Councillor Joe Harris on 22 May 2026, a casual vacancy has occurred in the office of County Councillor for the Electoral Division of Cirencester Park, Gloucestershire County Council, and any two Local Government Electors for the Electoral Division may give notice in writing to me requesting an election to fill the said vacancy.

Election of One County Councillor: Cirencester Park Division Thursday 2 July 2026
- An election for the areas listed above will be held on Thursday, 2 July 2026.
- Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, Council Offices, Trinity Road, Cirencester, GL7 1PX between 10am and 4pm, on any working day from the date of this notice
(excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4pm on Friday, 5 June 2026. - Nomination papers may be obtained by emailing elections@cotswold.gov.uk or telephoning 01285Andnbsp;623002. Completed papers must be submitted by hand. If you wish to make an appointment to submit your nomination paper, please contact us on the same email or phone number.
- If the election is contested, a poll will take place on Thursday, 2 July 2026.
- Applications to register to vote at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Council Offices, Trinity Road, Cirencester, GL7 1PX by midnight on Tuesday, 16 June 2026. Applications can be made online at https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
- Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and postal proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at the Council Offices, Trinity Road, Cirencester, GL7 1PX by 5pm on Wednesday, 17 June 2026.
