In 2023 GCC had 4,356 gender pay gap reporting relevant staff. This is more than last year (4,223 in 2022), and higher than previous years (3,426 in 2017, 3,693 in 2018, 3,849 in 2019, 4,199 in 2020). In gender pay gap 2023 there were 133 more gender pay gap relevant staff than in 2022.
In 2023 there remains a higher proportion of women (69.9%) which is consistent with previous years.
The workforce gender profile has maintained consistent throughout the reporting periods from 2017 to 2023 (ranging from 68.5% to 69.9% female).
Of the 4,356 gender pay gap reporting relevant staff, 3,997 were permanent or fixed term (i.e. staff cohort usually counted within GCC corporate workforce reporting) and 359 were zero hour/casual/temporary staff.
