Coloured ribbons were cut by every pupil, the school, Cllr Philip Robinson, the contractor and architect, to officially open the new building.
The brand-new building for 420 pupils has indoor and outdoor classrooms, outdoor play and dining areas, sports pitches, a daily mile track, a forest school, and nature areas throughout the site.
It is also the most environmentally friendly primary school in the county, designed in line with the county council’s pledge for a carbon neutral county by 2045.
