Food Waste: It All Adds Up

Gloucestershire councils have launched our latest campaign on food waste that will run through to July. https://www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/gloucestershire-county-council-news/news-february-2024/recycle-your-food-waste-to-save-money-and-cut-carbon/
The campaign simply asks residents to reduce their food waste as much as possible and recycle the rest!
The campaign will include:
- Free low waste cookery classes for residents https://www.gloucestershirerecycles.com/reduce/food/low-waste-cooking-classes/ (More coming soon)
- A video explaining the food waste recycling process (Launch March / April)
- A booklet about food waste that will be sent to all households (Launch April)
- Public engagement with a temporary staff team to talk to residents about food waste recycling (launch May)

- Spreading the word through your networks and teams
- Sharing social media posts from district or county council
- Talking to residents about food waste and encouraging them to help spread the word
