Launch of this year’s Adult Social Care Survey

Published

Over the coming weeks, a national survey of adult social care service users will take place in Gloucestershire. This survey is vital for shaping future services and understanding how care impacts people’s lives.

 Key points:

  • This is an annual national survey carried out under the guidance of Department of Health and Social Care and NHS England.
  • A randomly selected sample of 1,439 adults who have received care and support in the community or in care homes arranged or funded by Gloucestershire Adult Social Care will be invited to take part.
  • The results will help Gloucestershire County Council, the Department of Health and Social Care, and the Government improve services.
  • Surveys are being posted out w/c 19 January and should be returned by 6 March.
  • Responses are confidential - individuals will not be identified. Results are shared nationally under the guidance of the Department of Health and Social Care and NHS England.

Why this matter for members:

  • Constituents may ask why they’ve been sent the survey - it’s because they have received care and support funded by Gloucestershire Adult Social Care and were randomly selected.
  • Please encourage participation as every response helps ensure services meet local needs. You might like to share our social media posts, for example.
