Dementia Action Alliance
Gloucestershire "Dementia Action Alliance” working to make the County a good place for people living with Dementia and those who support them.
The overarching aims of the Gloucestershire Dementia Action Alliance (Gloucestershire DAA) are to:
- strive to ensure that everyone in the county who is living with dementia is understood, respected and supported
- enable people to continue to enjoy living and contributing to their own community; as well as possible, for as long as possible
- support the wider community to understand dementia, inspiring and enable people to contribute to creating dementia friendly communities
The Gloucestershire DAA Steering group had its initial meeting on the 4th December 2019. Obviously since then Covid-19 took priority. We are currently contacting members and working at a district level to look at what was in communities before Covid-19 lock-down, how covid-19 has affected communities and what are the priorities as a result.
The Steering group will be meeting later in the year.
