Report parking on existing parking restrictions
If a vehicle is parking on a restriction then please complete the county council's Parking Enforcment Request page so they can deploy enforcement officers when resources allow.
Request new parking restrictions
If you wish to request new double or single yellow lines for your road then you should first discuss this with your local councilor, town or parish council as a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) is required to make restrictions enforceable. Problems with school gate parking
Have you considered approaching the school requesting them to remind parents to park legally and considerately via a newsletter? Every school has a travel plan to reduce the number of pupils arriving at school by car. The school should take this opportunity to review this plan.
Vehicles causing an obstruction, preventing access for emergency vehicles, parking on the pavement or blocking driveways are parking illegally. Report these instances to the police using the non-emergency number 101 or email 101@gloucestershire.pnn.police.uk. Please be mindful that obstruction is a very broad issue. The police review on a case by case basis and can only issue a fixed penalty in certain circumstances.
Any vehicles parking on the zig-zag lines outside a school or on other parking restrictions should be reported to the Parking Enforcment Request page with as many details as possible. They are able to deploy enforcement officers as resources allow.

Inconsiderate parking (too close to a junction or blocking visibility but no restrictions)
The advice in the Highway Code not to park within 10m of a junction is not mandatory. Your local council or community group may be able to act on your behalf by informing these drivers of the inconvenience this parking is causing.
