What happens to this service in the future?
The service operates in five areas:
- Forest of Dean (south)
- Cotswolds (north since 2022, and now south since June 2024)
- Tewkesbury district
- Berkeley Vale
This service was a pilot scheme and a trial set up to 'experiment' and learn how Gloucestershire County Council can offer these types of rural transport options in the best way possible for our communities.
It continues to be a pilot scheme with growth, as Gloucestershire County Council learn about demand and tweaks needed across the five areas. Roughly 2005sq kilometers are now served, and this is likely to remain the case till at least spring 2026.
We are very keen to understand more about the need in these areas, and potentially elsewhere in the county, if the service continues and/or expands again.
