Jonny Fluffypunk - World War 2 evacuees
This resource was created as part of the Belonging project and is aimed at children in Key Stage 2.
It is designed to accompany, or follow on from, a visit to Gloucestershire Archives to look at relevant material from our collections. Jonny explores the topic and then leads children through the process of creating two pieces of imaginative writing.
The activities are designed to enhance key skills in writing, research, investigation and communication.
Resources
The Belonging project was a partnership between Gloucestershire Archives, Gloucestershire poet Jonny Fluffypunk and local schools. It used relevant original archives spanning 300 years as the inspiration for exploring issues of identity and family, and focussed on four key topics. The project has produced a film and related teaching resources on each of four topics: World War 2; Schools; Maps; Poverty & Punishment.
