Digital Stroud

The Digital Stroud interactive website is the result of a collaborative project which aimed to bring alive Stroud's past, present and future through a website and a series of Adult learning courses delivered during 2003-204.   Project partners included the Museum in the Park, Stroud College, Gloucestershire Libraries and Gloucestershire Archives.

The website, which includes many images from our collections, was later enriched by the addition of content relating to “Wrapping the Globe”, an exhibition and presentation focusing on Stroud’s cloth industry and commissioned by the Museum in the Park in 2006.

As well as Stroud Town, the website also explores Badbrook, Beeches Green, Bourne, part of Brimscombe, Cainscross, Ebley, Dudbridge, Over and Nether Lypiatt, Paganhill, Steanbridge, Ruscombe, Thrupp, Uplands, Rodborough, Wallbridge and Whiteshill.

Since 2016, the Digital Stroud website has been managed by the Stroud Local History Society.
