Ordering documents and making an appointment

Click here to search for documents held and make an appointment to view them in our public research room.

Select items of interest by clicking the star symbol on the right-hand side of each catalogue entry. They will appear in the 'saved records' tab at the top of the screen. To make an appointment, open the 'saved records' tab and select 'Book a visit' in the 'Actions' box.

See the Help section for further guidance.

During the booking process, you will be asked to read and agree to our terms of access and advised of our research room rules (PDF, 117.8 KB) .

You will be asked to select a convenient date. We suggest that you also provide an alternative date to avoid disappointment. Each booking will be confirmed by email. Please wait for this confirmation before making your visit.

We need 3 working days’ notice to process all pre-orders and you can order up to 20 documents per visit.

You may also contact us about certain records using the same method. Not all records selected will be order-able. This may be because you have chosen a whole collection or series references or possibly closed material.
