Car parking

Parking on site costs £4.00 per day and tokens are available from reception. It is free for volunteers and Blue Badge holders. Please note that our car park is for Gloucestershire Archives and Heritage Hub customers only and will be locked promptly at closing time.

Directions

There are signs to the Heritage Hub from London Road, Worcester Street and Alvin Street.

If you are travelling to Gloucestershire Archives from London Road heading towards the city centre:

  • Turn right onto Alvin Street just before the petrol station on your right.
  • Continue along Alvin Street and there will be a sign to "Heritage Hub" pointing left down Clarence Row, just before you reach Garden Machinery on your left.
  • The entrance to Gloucestershire Archives @ Heritage Hub will be in front of you.

If travelling from Worcester Street / A38 towards the city centre:

  • Take the last left before the railway bridge onto Alvin Street.
  • Continue past Roots Café and Garden Machinery on your right and take the next right down Clarence Row.
  • The entrance to Gloucestershire Archives @ Heritage Hub will be in front of you.

If travelling from the city centre along London Road:

  • After about 50 yards take the first left, just after the petrol station onto Alvin Street.
  • Continue along Alvin Street and there will be a sign to "Heritage Hub" pointing left down Clarence Row, just before you reach Garden Machinery on your left. 
  • The entrance to Gloucestershire Archives @Heritage Hub will be in front of you.

If travelling from the city centre along Worcester Street:

  • Take the first right onto Alvin Street.
  • Continue past Roots Café and Garden Machinery on your right and take the next right down Clarence Row.
  • The entrance to Gloucestershire Archives @ Heritage Hub will be in front of you.
