Find a Tender Service (FTS) and the Central Digital Platform (CDP)

Certain public sector contract opportunities must be advertised on the Find a Tender Service (FTS), the UK government's service for publishing regulated procurement notices. FTS replaced the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) for UK procurements from 1 January 2021. 

Contracting authorities, such as Gloucestershire County Council (GCC), are legally required to publish procurement notices for contracts that meet or exceed specific value thresholds. These notices are published on FTS and can be viewed at:

Current procurement thresholds (excluding VAT) are :

• Works contracts: £4,733,252
• Supply and service contracts: £189,330
• Health and social care services (Light Touch Regime): £663,540 gital Platform (CDP)

The Central Digital Platform (CDP) is the UK government's supplier registration service introduced under the Procurement Act 2023. It works alongside FTS by holding supplier information that can be used across multiple public sector procurements.

Register on the Central Digital Platform

Suppliers can search and view procurement opportunities without registering. However, suppliers who are awarded public contracts may be required to register on the CDP so that contracting authorities can access the information needed to meet procurement and transparency requirements.

Registering on the CDP offers several benefits:

• Create a single supplier profile for use across multiple public sector opportunities.
• Reduce the need to repeatedly enter standard business information.
• Make it easier to participate in future public sector procurements.
• Support compliance with the transparency requirements introduced by the Procurement Act 2023.
• Ensure your organisation is ready if selected as the successful supplier.

We recommend registering on the CDP as early as possible, even if you are not currently bidding for a contract, so that your organisation is ready to participate in future procurement opportunities.
