Team Around the Family (TAF) Meetings
A TAF (Team Around the Family) meeting is a family-led collaborative session where a family and professionals work together to create a solution-focused plan to support the child or family’s needs.
A TAF meeting brings together a child or young person, their family network, and the professionals involved in their care to share information, assess needs, and develop a coordinated plan of support. The focus is on building on the family’s strengths while addressing current concerns, ensuring that support is timely, appropriate, and effective. It is designed to empower families, helping them gain confidence and skills to strengthen their networks and sustain support over time.
