Notice periods for ending a GSL arrangement

15.1    GSL will end any arrangement with or without notice where:

• there is reason to believe that the person using the service or any other person is or is likely to be subject to significant risk, or
  
  
• the carer’s approval status is withdrawn

Where risks cannot be managed, GSL will end the arrangement immediately and will move the person to a place of safety. 

15.2    Under usual circumstances, the following notice is required to end a GSL arrangement:

• 28 days notice for a full time arrangement
  
  
• 7 days for a short break
  
  
• 7 days notice for an outreach service 

GSL may charge a cancellation fee if the full amount of required notice is not provided.
