Why has the scheme been delayed?
The project has experienced delays associated with utility works and diversion requirements which must be completed before construction can proceed. These activities are being coordinated with utility providers and other stakeholders.
When will construction take place?
The programme remains subject to utility diversions, land agreements, approvals and procurement. However the planned timeline is
- Winter (this year): Scaffold installation and preparatory works
- Next year: Main construction works and bridge deck replacement
