About the scheme

Winchcombe Station Bridge carries the B4078 over the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway at Greet, near Winchcombe. The bridge requires major structural works, including replacement of the bridge deck and associated improvements, to address structural defects and restore the bridge to full capacity

The proposed scheme includes:

• Removal of the existing bridge deck and beams.
• Installation of a new bridge deck and supporting elements.
• Parapet repairs and improvements.
• Drainage improvements to address water build-up behind the bridge abutments.
• Temporary utility diversions required to facilitate the construction works. 

The scheme remains in development while utility diversions, land agreements and technical approvals are progressed
