Why we collect and use your information

Our digital assistant (Grace) allows unpaid carers, via WhatsApp, to ask, and get answers to, questions using information available through Gloucestershire County Council’s website.
Grace does not require the user to share or submit any personal or special category data.
Any information entered into Grace will be shared with Bullet Digital Solutions and OpenAI, which are used to allow the tool to interpret and answer the questions you input. Users should not enter any personal data within the chat; phone numbers are not shared with OpenAI. The third-party services only process the information entered during the chat session.
Bullet retains the contents of chats for 30 days. The Council will hold aggregated statistical information about the digital assistant service; this does not contain any personal or special category data. If any safeguarding concerns are raised within the chat, Gloucestershire County Council may contact you to make sure you are supported.
Gloucestershire County Council relies on Article 6 1(e) Processing is Necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest. Gloucestershire County Council has a statutory under The Care Act 2014 to establish and maintain a service for providing people in its area with information and advice relating to care and support for adults and support for carers.
No personal data should be inputted into Grace. However, if a safeguarding concern is flagged to Gloucestershire County Council, then we may contact you to ensure you are supported. The table below outlines:
