Trading Standards play an important role in regulating animal feed to protect animal health, the food chain, and consumers. We work to ensure that feed is safe, correctly labelled, and meets legal standards.

This includes approving feed premises, sampling and testing products, inspecting feed businesses, checking traceability, and taking action where standards are not met. By supporting compliance and tackling unsafe or misleading practices, we help maintain confidence in the safety and integrity of animal feed and the food produced from it.
