Waiting, Loading, Disabled Badge Holder & Taxi restrictions, Pittville Street, High Street & Promenade, Cheltenham
Gloucestershire County Council is proposing to introduce/revoke the waiting, loading, disabled badge holder & taxi restrictions on Pittville Street, High Street & Promenade, Cheltenham.
The proposal seeks to formalise the existing loading, taxi and disabled badge holder restrictions to make the restrictions more appropriate, consistent and clearer to road users along this section of the carriageway, so that contraventions, which affect both residents and businesses, are minimal. It also aims to make changes to the no loading hours to ensure buses can navigate bends in the road without obstruction from loading vehicles during the day and to correct an anomaly at the northern end of Pittville Street, where the loading restriction is inconsistent with those in the surrounding area. Finally, the proposal includes the provision of an additional Loading Only Bay on High Street, to provide dedicated loading provision for businesses to utilise.
