We have put together a fascinating set of resources from our county archives which will illuminate what it was like to live in Gloucestershire in the past.

What is included:

Our resources pack is made up of images of photographs, maps, letters, diary entries, drawings and deeds, all relating to the local area. These documents are unique to the local area and you will recognise many of the places shown. Many are hundreds of years old.

National Curriculum links:

The lesson plan and resources tie in with the National Curriculum for KS2 History. There are also opportunities to link with the English, Art & Design and Geography National Curriculums. Please note that whilst the pack has been aimed at KS2, the fantastic local resources included are also suitable for KS1 and KS3.

How to use the pack:

The downloadable pack is FREE to use and can be used in class, as homework, and also as a virtual resource. The pack includes a ready-made and easy-to-follow lesson plan with an investigation sheet. Alternatively, you can just do you own thing with the images provided!
